TEN-YEAR OLD BOY GETS
FIRST TRAIN RIDE THRILL
-----

Floyd, age 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Betts took his first train ride today, boarding a Southern Pacific for Wharton to join his father who is superintendent of the schools of Wharton.  Floyd, Jr., like most lads of his age, has done his traveling in an automobile --and he happens to have done quite a bit that way,-- therefore a train ride, self chaperoned at that, is in the nature of a real thrill.
Mrs. Betts remains in Marlin for awhile on account of the illness of her mother, Mrs. S. E. Powell.
