‘PRETTIEST LITTLE CITY I EVER SAW,’ NATIVE SAYS

That’s the Way Marlin Looks to Former Resident After Absence of Six Years.

“Prettiest little city I ever saw!”

That’s the way Marlin looks to First Lieutenant Culver Cluck of the United States army air corps on his arrival here for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cluck, after an absence of six years.  Mrs. Cluck and children arrived earlier in the week, coming by train.  Lieutenant Cluck came through by automobile, making the nearly 1,500 miles from Detroit, Mich., where he is stationed now, in 3 ½ days.

Lieutenant Cluck is a native of Marlin and he finds ample elation in his homecoming.  However, his remark was inspired by the many improvements Marlin has undergone in recent years, particularly the paving, he declared.  And he’s traveled quite a bit since his last visit in Marlin, his army service including a sojourn in Panama.
