PIONEER COUPLE HAS 60TH
ANNIVERSARY OF WEDDING


       Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Parham, pioneer residents of this section, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday at their at Cego in Falls county east of Eddy.
       Both are in good health and are active, Mr. Parham being 83 and Mrs. Parham 79.
       Their three children - Mrs. S. K. Smith of Temple; Mrs. R.E. L. Pass, of Little River and B. R. Parham of Cego--and a number of grandchildren, and other relatives were present for the celebration Sunday.

       Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Parham, who reside in the Seago community, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, Jan. 31.  Their three children, twelve grand-children and two great-grandchildren plan to be present at their for the event.
       The children are Mrs. R. E. L. Pass of Little River, Mrs. S. K. Smith of Temple, and B. R. Parham, who lives a short distance from the elder Parham.  Mr. Parham is 83 and Mrs. Parham 79.  They live alone and are considered very active for their old age.  They raise a garden, do canning for their needs, and assist their son at hog killing time.
       Mr. and Mrs. Parham came from Mississippi to Texas in 1879, detraining at Rockdale.  They lived for several years near the old Goolsby saw mill and gin, a mile below Reed's Lake.  In 1880 the moved to the Seago community, where they have since resided.
