TEXAS NEGRO WOMEN'S CLUB MEET FEATURES ANNOUNCED

 

Two Negro Churches of Marlin to Be Scenes of Convention Sessions.

Outstanding features of the Texas Federation of Colored Women's Clubs meeting in Marlin this week are:

Monday, 8:30 p.m., Founder's program.
Tuesday, 8:30 p.m., local program, welcome addresses and greetings from the following persons: Rev. S. M. Mitchell, Cecil Moore, Mrs. A.A. Gibson, Miss Marjorie Rogers, Cecil Glass, Dr. A. L. Hunter; president's address, Mrs. A. B. Dement, Mineral Wells.

Wednesday morning, 10 a.m., address, Miss Annie Mathis, state department of health.
10:30 a.m., address, Miss Conger, secretary of health department of McLennan county; 11 a.m., address, Mrs. J. L. Brock, president of district Federation of Women's Clubs, Bryan.

Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., report of inter-racial commission, Prof. R. M. Woods, who will be introduced by Dr. N. D. Buie; address, Mrs. J. L. Young, vice president of Texas Federation of Women's Clubs, Mineral Wells; address, Mrs. R. F. Lindsay, president of Texas Federation of Women's Clubs, Mount Pleasant, who will be introduced by Mrs. Levi Goodrich; response, Miss Branch, Tillotson College.

Thursday, 8:30 p.m. department of negro authors presents a drama.

Day meetings at 8:30 and 5 p.m., at Davis Chapel M.E. Church; night meetings at Marlin negro Baptist church at 8:30 p.m.
