PRISONER WHO WOUNDED FALLS COUNTY MAN SLAIN

 

Negro Convict Had Attached Assistant Farm Manager With Razor

 

It was learned today that Henry Asbury, negro convict, was shot to death by B. B. Gaines, guard at Central state prison farm, Sunday night, states an Associated Press dispatch from Sugarland received by The Democrat this afternoon.

 

Asbury had wounded T. B. Gott, assistant prison farm manager, with a razor, the report added.

 

Gott was reared in the Rosebud section of Falls county and is well known in Marlin.  He has been employed by the state prison for a number of years.
