METHODIST SOCIETY HAS
WEEK OF PRAYER PROGRAM
Officers For Coming Year Elected
at Regular November
Session.
The Woman's Missionary Society of the First Methodist church held its monthly
business session in the church annex Monday afternoon.
The Retreat program, the first in the week
of prayer, was given by
Mrs. E. L. Ingrum, with items on reports of churches in foreign fields by Mrs.
W. S. Bowdon. Mrs. Ingrum also presented a disarmament petition.
Officers elected for the coming year are
Mrs. Henrietta Signor, president; Mrs. J. Lee Harlan, vice president; Mrs. J. J.
Thompson, treasurer; Mrs. C. H. Barclay, corresponding secretary; Mrs. A.
Threadgill, recording secretary; and superintendents, christian social
relations, Mrs. N. D. Buie; publicity, Mrs. J. M. Eddins; study, Mrs. B. W.
Ainsworth; supplies, Mrs. Paul Fisher; young people; Mrs. Ross Magee; children,
Mrs. H. L. Cobb; local work, Mrs. S. C. Johnson; Missionary voice agent, Mrs. M.
A. Gott.
The meeting was dismissed with prayer by
Mrs. L. F. Betts.
