FORMER MARLIN CITIZEN
NOTES IMPROVEMENTS HERE
Thinks Addition of Park Would Prove
of Lasting Benefit to
People.
"I hear many people who have been coming to Marlin for years
express themselves in complimentary terms of Marlin's wonderfully improved
appearance with so many streets paved, and other visible evidences of civic
advancement," said F. H. Ragsdale of Waco, who formerly resided in Marlin.
While a resident of Marlin, Mr. Ragsdale was a member of the city council and
was actively in favor of civic improvements during that time. He added today:
"I see Marlin is now making a move toward securing a public park, and if the
move is successful, it will be one of the best features that could be added.
Everyone now wants to commune with nature once in a while, at least, and,
fortunately, Marlin has the opportunity now to make this advanced step. As
a former citizen and still interested in Marlin and its people, I hope to see
the park move successful."
