AWARDED SIGNAL HONORS

Instructor in Music Also Former
Marlin Resident Now in
Chicago.

       Ann Golding, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Golding of Chicago, who formerly resided in Marlin, was awarded signal honors from the American Conservatory of Music recently.  She was one of twenty selected from the Conservatory, from the ages of ten -- fifteen to contest for the gold medal given each year for excellency in Plano.
       She played "Sonata" in D Major by Hayden and "Sparks" by Mosykowski.  This carries a scholarship to the winner.
       She is a pupil of Crawford Keigwin, also a former Marlin resident, who is a leading teacher in piano in the American Conservatory of Music.
