       Fire resulting in Marlin firemen being called out at 8:26 o'clock Friday evening destroyed a barn and contents of the E. E. Winfrey, Sr., on Bridge street.
       Origin of the fire was undetermined.  Some trash had been burned nearby, late Friday, but water had been poured on this fire to extinguish it.  Members of the family were at at the time the blaze broke out, their attention being called to it by persons residing nearby.
       Included in the loss was a quantity of baled hay, bundled maize heads and about a ton of hulls and some meal placed in the barn the day before.
       Insurance in the sum of $600 was carried on the barn with none on contents.
