CONNALLY TO MAKE TRIP TO RIO GRANDE VALLEY

 

 

 

Division of Waters and Fort Brown Adandonment Proposal to Be Looked Into.

 

Senator Tom Connally of Marlin leaves Wednesday for the Rio Grande valley where he will spend the remainder of the week.

 

Senator Connally will be the speaker at a joint banquet of Harlingen and San Benito chambers of commerce Thursday evening.

 

In addition, the senator will look into the matter of division of waters of the Rio Grande, apportionment of which is receiving attention of an American-Mexican commission.

 

He also will visit Brownsville for first hand information regarding the proposal to abandon For Brown, which he recently protested in a message to the war department.
