COMMITTEE PREPARES TO
SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER

       Beginning the 12th year of its work of serving as Santa Claus to the needy, Marlin's Christmas cheer committee met Tuesday afternoon and made preparations for this year's activities.
       Principal object of this committee's work is to see that every needy family in Marlin receives a basket of food for its Christmas dinner.
       With Miss Mae Hutchings, president, presiding, committees were named to carry on the work this year. They are:
       Investigating -- Mesdames M. A. Davidson, chariman, Jim H. Barnett, J. J. Gallaher, S. A. Watts, E. M. Dodson, and H. A. Chilton.
       Soliciting -- Mesdames J. Lee Harlan, chairman, E. J. Gurley, J. M. Haigler and Miss Mae Hutchings.
       Cookies -- Mrs. G. L. Hutchings.
       Housewives preparing their Christmas cookies are requested to
remember (the rest of the article is missing).
