CHILD OF MEXIA PUBLISHER KILLED BY DELIVERY TRUCK

 

Mexia, Texas – May 6 – Nancy Val, six-year-old daughter of W. K. Boyd, publisher of the Mexia Daily News, was instantly killed and Ernestine Smith, six, daughter of Earl Smith, official of the E. L. Smith Oil Company, was perhaps fatally injured when struck by a delivery truck as they crossed the street in front of the Boyd Tuesday afternoon.  Earline Smith, twin sister of Earnestine, was slightly injured.
