MARLIN KITTENS BEING MOTHERED BY TWO CATS

One Mother Loses Her Brood and Now She has Adopted That of Another.

Add to cat stories this—a couple of Marlin kittens have two mothers.

Born to Lady Hilton at the J. H. Patterson home, the two kittens are getting plenty of mothering these days, for Silver Babe, another cat owned by Mr. Patterson, lost her brood by death, and is sharing that of the one whose offspring lived.

Shortly after Silver Babe’s kittens died, one of Lady Hilton’s two disappeared.  A search about the premises revealed the kitten secreted in a rubbish box.  It was taken back to its mother, and Silver Babe joined the trio.  A now the two mothers and the two kittens comprise a happy family with the arrangement apparently completely satisfactory to all concerned.
