Homecoming

Mrs. Mary E. Connally observed her 87th birthday quietly at her near Eddy Saturday with members of her family gathered about her for the day in keeping with an annual custom.
Those attending the homecoming included her only son, United States Senator Tom Connally of Marlin, and four of six living daughters, Mesdames D. S. McKay of Marlin, C. N. Smith of Waco, J. R. Laughlin and Floy Moore of Eddy, together with other members of their families. Two of the daughters were unable to be present, Mrs. L. M. Clements, who lives in Comanche county, and Mrs. W. H. Stayton of Waco, who is with a daughter in St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Connally has been a resident of Falls county nearly half a century, locating on the place where she now resides in 1882, having previously lived in Brazos and McLennan counties after their marriage in Georgia following the war between the states.
