DENIES MAIL THREAT

Missouri Authorities Have Exonerated Him in
Slaying of Officers.

Associated Press.
Houston, Texas, Jan 8 -- Paul Young appeared at the police s(tation)
today with an attorney and (missing) sending a threatening letter (missing) Tomlinson, who notified p(olice) of the presence of Harry and Jennings Young in the Tomlinson home, resulting in their killing themselves to escape arrest.  They were wanted for killing six Missouri officers.

Young telephoned Arthur Heidingsfelder, attorney, Thursday, asking him to arrange for his surrender, if he is wanted.  The attorney made the appointment with police today.

Young was arrested 10 days ago on a charge of wrong automobile license plates and carrying a pistol.  Police said he has was not wanted on that charge, but that they wished to question him.  Missouri authorities exonerated him in connection with the killings.

An Ozark, Mo., undertaker left late Thursday night with the bodies. Time of the funerals was not decided.

Asked to Hold Brother.

Springfield, Mo., Jan 8 -- Houston authorities today were asked to hold Paul Young until further notice, though there is no charge against him.
