BARBEQUE LUNCH
FEATURES DELPHIAN MEET
Principal Address was by Representative
of National Delphian
Society.
Having completed
the study courses for the year, the Duleth Chapter of Delphians had as a final
meeting before summer adjournment a barbecued chicken luncheon at the Majestic
hotel Thursday.
Delphian colors, black and gold were noted on the floral decorations which were
black-eyed Susans and the place cards were adorned with the Delphian emblem.
Mrs. C. B. Francks was toastmistress and presented each program
number in ryhme. Mrs. E. M. Dodson gave a reading, Mrs. J. I. Collier sang
with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Roye Eddins. Interesting talks were made
by Mesdames E. P. Hutchings, Jr., J. H. Barnett and A. O. Bowdon. Mrs. Z.
I. Harlan called the club roll giving a clever limirick about each club member
present.
Mrs. H. L. Powell, who is connected with the national Delphian society, gave an
inspiring address.
Mrs. Harlan's roll call provoked considerable merriment, as the name of each
member was incased in rhythmic terms.
