One Christmas wedding of special interest to a large number of Marlin and Falls county people is that of Miss Pearle De La Vellette of Forth Worth to Mr. Joseph Edward Garrett which took place at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Izora De La Velle in Forth Worth on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock , December 24.
The ceremony was performed by Dr. Bodenbammer of Tehuacana, who has officiated at every edding in which a son or daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Garrett has been a party.
Mr. and Mrs. Garrett arrived in Marlin Christmas Day and were guests of the groom sisters in Marlin, Mesdames J. A. Dunkum and G. P. Reeves, until today when they went to Kosse to visit the parents of the groom, and other relatives.
After a honeymoon trip to Mexico they will be at after January 20 in San Antonio.
The groom is one of the leaning and enterprising citizens of Southwest Texas where he is largely interested in the devolopment of that county and his numerous friends here sincerely congratulate him upon his good fortune in the matrimonial lottery--winning a life partner of accomplished mind and charming personality.
