-----
W. W. HAIR VISITS MARLIN.
-----
Probable Candidate for Seat in
Federal Congress.
-----

Hon. W. W. Hair of Temple is a visitor to Marlin, having arrived Monday night.
Mr. Hair has been prominently mentioned in connection with the race for congress in opposition to the present incumbent, the Hon. R. L. Henry.  He authorized no definite statement as to his intentions, but it is generally understood over the district that he will be a candidate.
Mr. Hair has filled various positions of trust and honor in Bell county and is very popular with his people.
He is a man of quiet demeanor, rather modest appearing, but his neighbors and others who know him, say he is a man of ability, a logical reasoner and forceful and resourceful debater.  Should he get in the race, his friends say that the contest between he and Congressman Henry will hold the attention of the district until the votes are counted.
As to what particular issue that the race will hinge upon, there is nothing known at this time.  Congressman Henry has a good record, is very popular, well known and able to take care of himself with the best of them and will therefore quite likely add some spice to the campaign himself.
Mr. Hair is conferring with friends and, presumably, talking over the situation.  He has a number of personal friends in Marlin, whom he can count on to support him.  While here he will receive the cordial welcome which is proverbial of Marlin and Falls county, and should he get in the race, his claims will receive proper consideration at the hands of the voters.
