W. E. Rogers Elected Special Judge.
-----

At a meeting of teh local bar this Thursday Judge W. E. Rogers was elected to occupy the bench in county court during the absence of Judge Boyles who has been confined to his bed for several days on account of dengue fever.
Judge Rogers took up several cases in which the attorneys announced ready for trial.  Immediately after the selection of Judge Rogers as special judge several parties became inquisitive as to his prerogatories in matters of official importance and were at once informed by Col. Nat Lewellyn that Mr. Rogers was empowered with the authority to perform marriage ceremonies or transact any other duties that are customarily imposed upon a duly elected county judge.
