Verdict Against Horse Co.
-----
The long drawn out case of J. H. Hunter and C. A. Jones against the Marlin Horse
Company et als., was concluded Friday by the jury bringing in a verdict for
Judge L. W. Goodrich, as against the Horse Company.
A judgment had previously been entered in
favor of Hunter and Jones, original plaintiffs in the case, against the company
and Judge Goodrich, for the amount of $125, being first and second premiums for
colts sired by Kentucky Pride, owned at the time the premiums were offered by
the company and afterwards sold to Judge Goodrich. Neither the company nor
Judge Goodrich accepted the judgment as to them and the contest continued with
increasing interest between them until the verdict was announced in favor of
Judge Goodrich.
