SUCCESSFUL IN REAL ESTATE.

J. E.
Garrett, who was reared on Blue Ridge, has just completed a big town lot sale at
Banquette, near Corpus Christi. The Corpus Christi papers speak very
complimentary of his operations and publish resolutions adopted by the
purchasers of lots endorsing his method of doing business. Some of these
purchasers reside in the eastern cities and come thousands of miles in response
to his advertisements to attend the sale.
It is
learned from a friend of Garrett's that he cleared up several thousand dollars
on the deal, which is an old one of buying acreage property, cutting it up into
town lots, advertising and selling them. J. E. is a hustler and the
Democrat is pleased to hear of his great success.
