Rain Was Heavy at Reagan.
-----

                                                        Reagan, Texas, May 9.
To The Democrat:

Another hard rain last night, accompanied with lightning but no hail or wind.

The board of trustees of the Reagan high schools held a meeting Wednesday morning, May 8, and elected the following teachers  for the next term:  Misses Dovie Davis, Marion Peyton and Elvie Price.  Did not elect any principal. That position is still open for some good man.

       B. F. Ward was bitten by a copperhead snake.  He was in the barn shucking corn when the snake struck him, biting him on the fingers.  Mr. Ward suffered considerably, but is able to be out.

Jay Bassett who accidentally killed himself at Kosse, had many friends in Reagan who deeply sympathize with his family in their darkest hour of affiiction (sic).

Forty six bales of cotton were sold in Reagan today, prices ranging from 5 to 11 cents.  This cleans up the crop.  Reagan shipped 3,500 bales this season.
