Peggy Stewart Day.

Annapolis, Md., Oct. 19.--Peggy Stewart Day, which is as faithfully observed in Maryland as is Patriots' Day in Massachusetts, was duly celebrated in Annapolis today by the unveiling of a tablet on the liberty poplar tree at St John's college.  The tablet is a commemoration of the signing of a treaty between the colonists and the Susquehannock Indianp, (sic) which took place under the old tree in 1652.  The exercises were held under the Peggy Stewart chapter of the Daughters of the American revolution.  Among the participants were Gov. Wakefield, President Fell of St John's College and Mrs. Donald McLean,  president of the D.A.R.
