Miss Snow Beats Jack Frost.
-----

This is the one time that Miss Beautiful Snow beat Jack Frost to this part of Texas.
Marlin people woke next morning to find sleet falling, and before ten o'clock there was quite a little snow falling.
Old inhabitants say that this the first time in their recollection that snow came ahead of frost and that this is a very early date--Nov. 11--for snow and sleet.
"Old inhabitants" also says that this presages an early and severe winter.  At any rate, better look at your woodpile and coal bin.
