While there are many fine horses from a distance now in the city, and they have their admirers, Marlin people must not overlook the fact that there is a Marlin horse or two int his stunt.  One among the number and altogether lively is Allie N.., owned by F. S. Heffner, and who has won divers and sundry tracks.
This mare made a record in 1906 of which the owner of any animal might well be proud.  In six $1000 purses last year, Allie N, was in the money in five.  Out of 14 races, the last five started, she won first money.  Her mark is 2:15 and it is freely asserted by local horsemen and others who know her that she can go in 2:12 on the Marlin track.  Allie is a trotter of superior accomplishments, and experienced horsemen expect her to take care of herself in good style even in the fast company in which she is new entered.
