WEEK WITH MARLIN CLUB WOMEN
-----
Reception to Outgoing and Incom-
ing Presidents was a Bril-
liant Function.
-----

On Tuesday night the hospitaable (sic) of Mrs. George Frank was ablaze with light and resplendent with gorgeous gowns when the Social Club met and, waiving for the time its customary all feminine character, allowed its members to bring their husbands and gentleman friends to join in the merry making.  The object of this more than usual feativity was to welcome the coming, speed the parting president, for the meeting marked the retiring of Mrs. Mollie Bartlett from office and the installation of Mrs. Will Allen, as head of the club.  The hostess was assisted in receiving by Miss Millie Frank.
The club colors of pink and white were in evidence on the tasty tally cards, in the floral decorations and in the refreshments.  Games were the feature of the evening, "42" and 6-hand euchre furnishing entertainment in which all could join.  Punch was passed during the games to keep the spirits of the contestants from lagging.  Mr. Heffner was lucky enough to win the men's first prize, a box of cigars; the consolation prize, a handsome necktie, going to Mr. Barclay Martin.  Among the ladies the firt prize, a dainty hand painted plate was carried by Mrs. Martin, while Mrs. Goodrich found adequate consolation in a beautiful fan.
After the games delicious refreshments were served.  The first course consisted of pressed chicken, and jelly, pickles, wafers, sandwiches and salted almonds.  This was followed by strawberry ice cream and angel cake.
Among those present were Mesdames W/ H. Allen and Bartlett; Messrs and Mesdames Lee Allen, Will Allen, Bunch, Cheeves, Hefner, Martin, Reeves, Billingsley; Mesdames Cluck, Dunkum, Fannin, Goodrich, Gardner, McBride, Herron, Stewart, Emerson, Rimes, Rush and the Misses Battle, Bartlett, Goodrich, Chambers and Kerwin.

-----
REGULAR MEETINGS SOCIAL CLUB.

The regular meeting of the social club was held with Mrs. W. O. Bunch on Wednesday afternoon.  The members had anticipated one of the most pleasant meetings of the year and they were in no wise disappointed, for the hostess planned and executed well the social feature of the afternoon.  The business session was of short duration, there being nothing of very great importance up for consideration.
A vote of thanks was extended to Messrs I. J. Nathan for furnishing lights and W. W. Allen for furnishing water at the park pavillion on Friday night last.
The social session was prominent in a series of exciting games.  The hostess served lovely refreshments to members and guests. Included in the guest list were Mesdames Gunnell, Bartlett, Carter, Billingsley, Herring, Beal, Chatham, Finks, Emerson and Miss Finks.
