Held on a Thousand Dollar Bond.

       The examining trial of Ed Dare, the negro charged with an attempt to assault at the Commercial hotel Sunday morning, was concluded at four o'clock Tuesday afternoon and the defendant was held in $1,000 bond.
       Failing to give the bond the negro was returned to jail.
