He Thanks People of Marlin.
-----

Temple, Tex., Oct. 16.--Editor Democrat:  Through the medium of your valuable paper, I wish to tender my most heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to the people of Marlin for their kindness to me and my family during my stay at "The Wells" in the month of August.
It is impossible for me to remember the names of all the people with whom I met.
My stay at Marlin was both pleasant and beneficial, as Mrs. Bolin's health was very much improved while there, and she is now doing exceedingly well.
I noted with much pleasure the recent appointment of Judge B. H. Rice to be associate justice of the court of civil appeals, Third Supreme Judicial District at Austin.  The people of Marlin, aye, of Texas, should be proud of this man and feel grateful to the governor of our state.  I wish to congratulate the judge.
In conclusion I wish to say to the citizens of Marlin that you now, and ever will have, a place of respect in my heart, and all I charge for this missive is that you advertise in the columns and subscribe to the Marlin Democrat.
       (They are all doing that.--Ed.)
With best wishes to all, I am,
Very truly yours, D. W. Bolin.
