Exhibition in Trick Riding.
-----
George
Nicholson, driver for the Reeves & Kay market, took a stunt at fancy trick
riding Wednesday morning.
However,
it was not by choice, as the exhibition was forced upon him by a Texas mule,
said to be a cousin of the famous Maud.
George
started on a delivery trip about the break o' day. The mule was feeling
gay as a result of the cool morning and began a series of gymnastic
performances. At about the third revolution George was transplanted from
the cart to the summit of the mule from which dizzy perch he got a glimpse of
the morning star at close range. When the earth met him he saw several
more stars of different sizes and colors.
When
George picked himself up he did not know whether he was coming in or going out.
He finally recovered his bearings and came back to town on the rural free
delivery wagon.
The mule
was flagged down by Butch Wyers out about Center. The returns from the
cart and cargo of meat are not all in yet.
