ELECTIONS BY THE CITY COUNCIL

Turner is Mayor Pro Tem and Gray
is Policeman.

At the morning session of
the city council W. W. Turner was elected mayor pro tempore, J. B. Gray
reelected policeman, A. B. Curry reelected street commissioner and also made
sanitary inspector.
The following elected as a board of
equalization: C T Curry, L E Oltorf and C G Cooley.
Presiding officers of elections: Ward
1, W L Falconer: Ward 2, N Stallworth; Ward 3, Prentice Oltorf.
The mayor announced the appointment of
standing committees which will appear in the minutes tomorrow.
