Court Fines Witnesses.

Also Forfeits Number of Bonds

of Defendants.

-----

There was a busy time county court Wednesday.

There was not much doing in in (sic) the matter of trials but the court kept the clerk busy for awhile entering up fines against witnesses who failed to appear in response to the summons.  The regulation fien of $10.00 was imposed abd the court took occasion to say that in the future he would not tolerate derelection of duty on the part of witnesses and where they failed to show a good cause for failure to respect the subpoenas that the fines would stick.

A number of bonds were forfeited, the defendants failing to appear in court.

Considerable time was devoted to hearing a gaming case from Lott.
