Challenges Marlin Team.
-----

The football team of Allen Academy at Bryan has thrown out a warm challenge to the Marlin High School team.  The academy team is considered one of the best in the state and it may be that they are trying to be "funny" with the Marlin boys.  Should the Marlin team accept and win the game, the fun may all be one-sided.

The Challenge.

       Capain (sic) High School Football
             Team, Marlin, Texas:
Dear Sir:  We, the Allen Acedemy (sic) football team, would like to play you on Saturday, November 23, at Marlin.  We will come up there if you all will pay our expenses.  We will average about 130 pounds; we have not practiced any as we have not played a game this season.  Hoping that you all will accept our challenge, I remain, Yours truly,
                                                        CHARLIE HUDSON,
                                                                        Captain.
                           Bryan, Texas, Nov. 11.
