Eighteenth Year - Number 45
Marlin, Texas, Saturday, October 26, 1907

Calves Will Be Impounded.
-----

Policeman J. B. Gray requests The Democrat to say that hereafter he will impound all calves or other four footed animals, dogs and cats excepted, that he finds running at large within the city limits of Marlin.
He says that he is moved to adopt the rigid enforcement of the ordinance by reason of the complaints at discrimination, to say nothing of the actual damage done by the calves, that have reached him in the last few days.  Owners of calves that fail to show up at milking time, may save time and expense by going to the pound pen and getting them.
