Big Park Opening July 4th.

The Eckerts park about six miles north of Marlin on the Perry road will be
formally opened with a big picnic on July 4.
The park is located on what is known as
Morgan's Point, a commanding eminence that overlooks the surrounding country.
It is an ideal place for a park and the proprietor, Alf Eckert, has put the
grounds in good condition for the making of a popular resort.
The Marlin Juvenile band has been engaged
to furnish the music for the occasion and there will be speeches galore by local
and outside orators.
