BIG HAY WAREHOUSE DESTROYED
-----
Third Attempt to Burn Building
is Successful.
-----
A hay
warehouse of Nash, Robinson & Co was destroyed by fire Monday evening. The
fire started at 7:30 and burned so rapidly that it was an incredibly short time
until the building and contents was a charred mass of embers and smoke.
The alarm
was turned in from six-two and the department put up a good fight but it was
beyond their power to do more than confine the flames to the building in which
they originated.
The
building is the same that had been set fire on two previous occasions. It was
moved on this lot about ten days ago and several tons of hay stored therein.
The fire
is of an incendiary origin, very probably the work of the firebug that has been
operating in Marlin for several weeks.
