       List of Attractions--All Roads Lead
To Marlin.
-----

The big fair begins Wednesday, September 4 and lasts through
Thursday and Friday, Sept. 5 and 6.
It will be held in Marlin.
All roads will lead to Marlin next week.  They are coming and they are coming to enjoy the fair.
Of course all the race horse men in reach of Marlin will be here with their horses.  The live stock exhibits, including sheep, hogs and goats, will be very good if indications count for anything.  Secretary Bartlett and the superintendents in charge of these departments, are daily receiving inquires from parties, who expect to have exhibits.  Full information is given in each instance.
The purses in all the running races have been increased to $100 by the directors of the fair, and this means that there will be added interest in this feature of the races.  This will insure some fast movers.
The fair directors are not overlooking the hog department.  In their circular the list of premiums for hogs was unintentionally omitted, but has been published in these columns and the fair management again presents it in the current issue of The Twice-a-Week Democrat.  If you have a good hog don't fail to bring him to the fair.  Show your neighbors what you have.

AMUSEMENT DEPARTMENT.

The department of amusements if full of good things.  Included in the list are the following:
Martha's celebrated fireworks, three nights of artistic electrical effects that will be dazzling and brilliant.
Balloon ascension and parachute leap every day.  Some entirely new and thrilling stunts in this line.
High diving by educated dog in front of reptile show.  Dog drops 200 feet and lands without losing his bark.
Merry-go-round, which you can ride or not, just as you like.
There will be other amusements galore and all other concomitants usually found in a first class county fair.
Take three days off and come to Marlin, see the fair and have a good time.
