Anent W.P. Oil Case.
-----

Regarding the opinion in the Waters-Pierce Oil case, the following from Austin is of interest:

"As Judge Key favored enforcing the jurisdiction of the court and displace Dorchester and put in Eckhardt, when the preliminary hearing was held in June, his writing the opinion at this time may be significent.(sic)   It might indicate that, Associate Justice Rice agrees with him as nothing is known of the views of Judge Rice, as he has not expressed them.  Judge Rice has just been appointed to the bench and he might agree with Judge Key to enforce the jurisdiction of the court.
"Chief Justice Fisher has a different view, believing that pleas should be made in the federal court.
