REAGAN FARMERS ORGANIZED

Will Establish A Sample Farm For 1904

     A meeting of farmers and business men of Reagan was held Monday for the purpose of establishing a sample farm to be conducted along improved lines and with advanced methods of cultivation.
     T. G. Fountain was elected president and D. L. Wardlaw secretary.
     The following board of directors were chosen: 
T. G. Fountain, D. L. Wardlaw, Dr. S. D. Davidson, J. T. Owens, G. B. Robbins, W. Z. Burke, M. W. Cabaniss, W. B. Hagens, E. W. Robbins, A. W. Flinn, H. T. Rogers, C. Ward.
     After the business of the meeting was disposed of, a list was
circulated for subscriptions for the relief of farmers in the Thornton community who are in destitute circumstances, unable to procure the necessities of life, to say nothing of seed with which to plant their crops. The sum of $25.00 in cash and 200 bushels of cotton seed were secured and forwarded to Thornton.
     Another meeting will be held at the store of D. L. Wardlaw on Saturday, March 12, at which all the members of the organization are requested to be present.
