Compress Will Be Built On
School Property.

Railroad Surveyors Now Here.

As forcasted in these columns some time ago, the compress will be located on the
property formerly used for public school grounds lying in the "V" formed by the
two railroads, unless there is a slip and those who have the matter in charge do
not expect anything of that kind. The railroads have sent their surveyors
here to lay routes for the side tracks into the grounds and it is given out by a
gentleman in a position to know that the active work of erecting the compress
will begin in a very short time.
