WESTPHALIA.

Editor Democrat, Marlin, Texas.

We had splendid rains out here last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and everything grows nice and so does the weeds and grass.
       Cotton choppers are in demand.
       Crop outlook is very promising.
Health in this section is good.
Farmers are busy cleaning their crops.  If we have good weather for a week or two most of them will be up with their work.
There will be a picnic at Wesphalia on Monday, May 19.  Everybody invited, especially the candidates.  No charges for speaking.
                                                                 Yours truly,
                                                                 A. J. Holscher.
P.S.--Westphalia has formed a R. L. Henry club of 100 members.
                                                                 A J H
