News of the Week as Tersely Told by the
Society Editor---

Mrs. T. A. Cheeves was the hostess to the Presbyterian Ladies Aid Society Friday afternoon January 31st.  The meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs. L. W. Goodrich, roll call was responded to by a large number.  Many subjects of interest for the benefit of the society was discussed.  Mrs. W. J. Finks was appointed to plan work for the next regular meeting.  It goes without saying that this one of the best societies of the town.  The ladies with their gracious manners and kindly feelings towards all, have drawn members from every church.  Mrs. Marone and Mrs. F. S. Chambers were the specially invited guests of Mrs. Cheeves, the hostess, and so charmed were they that both were induced to become members, though the latter was not fully persuaded, until trays with dainty collatrions were passed.
