NEW SERVICE TO MERTENS.
Mertens, Tex., July
23.--J. W. Byars, commercial agent of the I. & G. N. and H. W. Heafer of the
Iron Mountain were here today. Mr. Byars announced that his road was ready
to handle freight on their extensions from Waco to Fort Worth and would put on
freight trains July 24. Passenger trains will be put on Aug. 1.
