John McDonald Wounded
~~~~~
    J. C. McDonald happened to a very serious accident here Thursday about 12 o'clock, came very near ending his life, he was taking from his buggy a loaded shotgun, and in some way struck one of the hammers against the side of the buggy and tired the gun.
    The entire load struck the left side of his face and tore away all the flesh from the left cheek and a part of the cheek bone.
    He was taken immediately to Dr. Gorden's office and his wound dressed.  The wound while very painful, is not likely to prove fatal.
