AT THE GRAND NEXT WEEK.

Next week the Grand Opera House will be given over to two of Hoyt's most successful comedies, Monday night "A Stranger in New York" will be presented and on Tuesday night, "A Trip to Chinatown" will be the attraction.
It is doubtful if any comedies ever appealed to the theatre going public of this country as strongly as these two popular Hoyt plays.
As a past master of cutting satire, and sparkling wit the late Charles Hoyt stood preeminent and those popular plays are conceded by critics to be his masterpieces,  They added more to his reputation as a successful playwright than all his other creations.
It is promised that each play will be given complete and entirely new scenic productions with distinct change of music, songs and specialties for each play.
All the music and songs will embrace the latest successes of popular authors, while several novelties are promised in the specialty line.  This attraction comes direct to Marlin from Galveston and goes from here to San Antonio.  This being the only small town in Texas getting the play.
