MONUMENT TO MR. GOODRICH.
The conductors, engineers
and roadmasters of the Houston East and West Texas, have appointed a committee
to arrange for the erection of a monument to the late manager of the road, Frank
B. Goodrich. Already more than $700 has been raised, and it is expected
that the thousand dollar mark will be reached in a day or two.
This is an evidence of the high esteem in
which Mr. Goodrich was held by the employees of his road.
