DESTRUCTIVE FIRE AT REAGAN.
-----
Three Stores With Contents Destroyed.
-----
Sunday
morning about three o'clock the town of Reagan was visited by a very ugly fire
that destroyed three business houses and slightly damaged a fourth.
The origin
of the fire is not known and the place of origin is in doubt. It started
in the saloon of W. E. Waite, the mercantile establishment of Royal Smith or
between the two buildings. No one knows definitely where.
The fire had
gained such headway when discovered that it was entirely beyond contro, with
limited means at hand.
The
buildings and stocks destroyed were:
W. E. Waite,
saloon, insurance on house and stock, $1500.
Royal Smith,
general merchandise, insurance on building and stock, $5250.
Pat Yancy,
furniture, etc. insurance on building and stock, $750.
