MARLIN FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Marlin fire department has
received a formal invitation from the Waco department to attend the state
association there on May 11, 12, 13 and asking the Marlin boys to send up a team
of racers for the hose reel races given by the Waco department. Cash prizes of
$100.00, $50.00 and $25.80 respectively are offered for the first, second and
third fastest teams in the race. The Marlin department has some good "sprinters"
itself and if they enter we predict they will make it warm for the winners.
