EDDY.

Mrs. J. W. Christian left Tuesday morning for an extended visit to relatives in Hamilton.

Mrs. John Faulkner went to Temple Tuesday.

The two gins at this place have ginned less than 600 bales of cotton.  Mr. Johnson, our weigher reports only 500 bales for the season.

Mrs. T. A. Page, who was seriously burned and died shortly after, was laid to rest at the Eddy cemetery Friday.

We are glad to announce to the world that the last note has been poid (sic) on the Eddy High School building and we have two grand orders located in it viz:  Masonic and K. of P. lodges.  They are strong and have the best men of the community as members.

On last Friday while Mr. J. D. Hay was unloading wood from his wagon he lost his balance and fell on some logs nearby breaking three ribs and striking his head on the ground and has been unconscious ever since.  There is little hope of his recovery this Tuesday.  Mr. Hay is one of our best citizens and it comes like a bolt of lightning from a clear sky.

       C. B. Web received a telegra that his father was dead at San Antonio.  He will be interred in the Eddy cemetery.
