COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CALL.

Conventions and Primaries Called For
July 9th.

     A county democratic convention is hereby called to assemble at the courthouse in Marlin on Saturday, July 16th, 1904, at ten o'clock a. m., for the purpose of ascertaining- and declaring the result of the democratic primaries to be held on July 9th, and for the election of a county chairman and secretary and an executive committee for the ensuing two years, and for such other business as may properly come before said body.
     A democratic primary election is hereby ordered, to be held in each voting precinct in Fall County. on Saturday, July 9th 1904, at which all democratic candidates for all state, district, congressional, county and precinct officers will be voted upon.
     Said precinct elections will b held in the following places, and the presiding judges thereof are hereby appointed, to-wit:
     Alto Springs - Presiding judge A L Jennings

     Blevins - Presiding judge, J L Litteral
     Bell-falls - Presiding judge, E A Adams
     Center, at McClannahan - Presiding judge, Jim Barton
     Cedar Springs, at Viesca - Presiding judge, Mat Jones
     Chilton - Presiding judge, J B Landrum
     Cego - Presiding judge, W T Moon
     Durango - Presiding judge, J W Henslee
     Dot - Presiding judge, Frank Leibreicht
     Free Liberty - Presiding judge, J G Bargainer
     Gurley - Presiding judge, J W Brewer
     Grusendorff - Presiding judge- Otto Rau

     A primary convention of democratic voters is also hereby called to assemble in each precinct, at the respective places named above, on Saturday, July 9th, 1904, at two o'clock p. m., for the purpose of electing delegates to the county convention July 16th, and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before such convention. The test prescribed by the executive committee to all who take part in these conventions is, that they shall be of the white race, and shall promise to support all the democratic nominees at the November election.
     Presiding judges will appoint one associate judge and two clerks to aid in holding the election. And in case of the absence inability or refusal of the presiding judge, the voters present may select their own presiding judge.
     Tickets, poll and tally lists, and other blanks for holding the election and making returns, in accordance with the Terrell election law, will be furnished to presiding judges, together with a copy of the Terrell law, in due time.
     In case the presiding judges named above cannot act, they are requested to notify the undersigned secretary, at Marlin, Texas.
