MARLIN BOY IN THE DEAL.

According to information given out at Dallas yesterday by Superintendent G. A. Taft and subsequently announced in Houston, a number of important changes in the affairs of Wells-Fargo & Co's Express are effective May 1.
John Arthur Hyde, who has been assistant superintendent of the Southern division, is appointed superintendent of the Louisiana division, which will include the lines of the Kansas City Southern in Oklahoma and the lines of the St. Louis, San Francisco and New Orleans in the Indian Territory. Mr. Hyde will take with him from Houston as chief clerk Mr. J. R. Bellinger, who has been assistant to Chief Clerk J. M. Crawford at this place.
These changes resulted from the creation of a new division by the separation of the Louisiana lines, and a portion of the Arkansas lines from the Southern division, with Mr. Hyde as superintendent. The new division will be known as the Louisiana division. ---Houston Chronicle, May 1.
The above refers in part to John R. Bellinger, a son of Capt.
John Bellinger of this city, and his continued promotion is a source of gratification to his many friends. John began his business career about ten years ago as "Devil" in the DEMOCRAT office, but he didn't stay in that position very long before he was competent to take a case. From the printing office he went to the service of the express company at the Marlin office. Since that time his advancement has been rapid and it will surprise none of his friends if he is at the head of a division before a great while.
